Raw Fish

Raw Fish plays electroacoustic indie avant-garde jazz. Originally a duo of Danish guitarist Teis Semey (he was Artist in Focus at North Sea Round Town 2022) and Italian drummer Giovanni Iacovella, they added Italian singer Marta Arpini following her outstanding contribution to their debut album. With Semey’s melodic punk approach and Iacovella’s explosive drumming and integrated electronics, Raw Fish has an imaginative sound that marries singer-songwriter music with avant-garde jazz (Ornette, Eric Dolphy) and intricate live-generated electronic sounds and samples.
