100% Cottone

Together with three splendid musicians, bass player Mauro Cottone formed his band 100% Cottone: an alternative instrumental project with danceable drum grooves and singable, but unpredictable melodies that are developed into virtuosic improvisations. Their music is inspired by the transgressive approach of The Bad Plus and the productions of bassist Petter Eldh – the melodic song-like compositions are rooted in the world of indie songwriters. Acoustic and electronic instruments are complementary: the double bass and piano meet synths and guitar effects, the acoustic drum set alternates with electronic backing tracks.
